Developed by Riane Eisler and the Center for Partnership Studies, this exchange of ideas and experiences will enhance your understanding of the role that caring plays in your life, our community, and our world’s future. Riane has dedicated decades of research, writing and advocacy to bringing fundamental change to our economic perspective. She has made the connection between caring and care work, and $$$$ value in our economy. The awareness of the essential role that care work plays in our world today and the evidence of its worth in terms of dollars and cents forms a powerful basis for a caring revolution.
The Story
We face seemingly intractable problems – climate change, misdirection of money toward violent programs, poverty, political corruption, lopsided wealth distribution. Solving any one of these may seem to be beyond our reach.
THIS IS WHERE THE CARING ECONOMY COMES IN.
In our current economic system, the gifts of the earth and the care we give to our children, elders and neighbors are invisible. Sustainable prosperity and global well-being calls for a shift in our awareness of the real value of the care work that makes all other economic activity possible.
Bring your caring economy experiences, your questions, and ideas. This event will help us appreciate what is already in place and give us the opportunity to leverage this to create a more powerful, partner-full future. I look forward to sharing this powerful, positive story with you!
Peace,
Zette
